Man-Archy - Football Injuries

As a Liverpool fan I have been taking a greater interest in the injury situation of footballers this season. So far there have been a significant increase of injuries for players than in previous seasons. Experts are putting this down to the lack of rest for the players, both prior to the season (just 3 weeks) and the close proximity of games, leaving little time for natural recovery.

During this year, some of us have had more ‘rest’ from our day to day work patterns, being at home more and having to work via video links and other electronic tools. But do these blurred lines actually impact us more negatively than we first thought?

By having a pattern of work out of the house it sets clear times when we work and when we rest. As with the footballer’s physical injuries, we need our personal rest time to recharge our mental health and give us the impetus to recharge and go again the next day.

Is there an opportunity you could take to get that personal recharge today?

For me, an hour walk is perfect, seeing the birds, trees and the wind in your face really helps me reset and also helps with my physical wellness too.
